CONNECTION POINT CHURCH

Obviously, we believe that Connection Point is a great church. Since our start on Father's Day, June 16, 2013, we’ve seen God do some amazing things. We are lifting up the name of Jesus, we're listening to God as best we can and we're working as hard as we can to see lives changed.

But we know we're not the only church out there. This may not be your church and we're okay with that. We don't think Connection Point is for everybody. We do believe that the local church is for every Christ follower, however. Every Christ follower should be part of a local church. We think it is a spiritual impossibility for a person to love Jesus and not love the local church that Jesus calls His bride. So, if Connection Point isn't your church, we pray you'll get involved somewhere where you can believe in the vision and really plug into the church.

What does belonging to this church mean? We believe that making a commitment is more than signing a paper...belonging is committing to get plugged into the LIFE of this church.

Foundational to your understanding...you must understand that we don't have members, we have owners. We changed the name because we realized that over time, the word "member" had changed in our culture and in our churches.

What once meant "an integral/vital part" now means "I'm entitled." In our culture, a member is part of a club or an organization, and their membership entitles them to certain services. That's why we're using the term “owner” to refer to what was once called membership. The reality is...

Members have rights, owners have responsibilities.
